Jagera & Turrbal Country | Arrernte Country | Dunghutti Country | Muwinina Country | Bundjalung Country | Kabi Kabi Country

Our signature come-as-you-are community classes are for all ages, all experiences and all bodies. Whatever your flavour, we encourage you to bring it and share it on the dancefloor with us! We stretch, we warm up, we give a few grooves a try and then learn a fun choreography with plenty of room for you to bring your own spice as we share in the delight of moving together. Unbridled joy is what we are serving, and you are all invited!

No dance or performance experience necessary. ALL ages, all experiences and all bodies are welcome and celebrated.

  • Do I need to bring a plate of food?
No need to bring food! Just your own flavour to the dance-floor to share :)
  • What do I need to bring?
Yourself! Come as you are. Comfy clothing is great for moving in and a water bottle is good for hydration.
  • What happens in the class?
A fun time! That is the focus. The class runs like so: - Introduction - Acknowledgement to country - Stretch and conditioning - Grooves - follow along movement to get the heart pumping - Learning a short dance - Closure We film the final run through to look back on and see how incredible group movement can be and to encourage new people to join our community and access dance experiences. Please speak to us if this is an issue for you.
  • What is expected from me as a participant?
Respect! We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, or transphobic behaviour/attitudes will not be tolerated.
  • Can I bring kids?
Yes, children under 16 attending with an adult or guardian are free! Children are welcome to jump in and out of the class and you are too, as needed, to care for them :)
  • Can carers or support workers attend?
In regards to our community who may require individual support, we offer one support worker/family member/carer free of charge with every paying participant. This is dependent on particular needs and is left to the decision of the participant and their support worker if needed. Some support workers simply accompany their participants to class and watch or others may participate in the class with them if further assistance is required. This assists our facilitators with safely and promptly running class and making sure all dancers are looked after.
  • Do I have to be in the video?
No you do not! If this is the case please let us know on arrival at class. We film the class so that we can see the beauty of a group of people moving together and so we can promote the class to encourage other people to come and dance for joy. It is our mission to shift Australian perceptions about dance so visibility is important to us. Check out our instagram and you will see that we are all tiny dancing ants :)
